Today marks “Shrove Tuesday”, also known as “Pancake Day”… A day where you are allowed to feast on pancakes and not feel guilty about it, before starting giving up your guilty pleasures for lent.
So where better to feast on pancakes than “My Old Dutch Pancake House” in London?! As the name suggests, the pancake houses are set up by the masters of pancakes from Holland. They offer a comprehensive menu choice of pancakes, ranging from sweet to savoury, to waffles and even "Poffertjes" (mini pancakes)… The whole experience is taking me back to being a young lad, having lived out there (all those years ago).
The Dutch theme is incorporated throughout each London branch, based in Kensington, Chelsea and Holborn. The logo consists of a Tulip, which is known as the National flower, there are splashes of orange shades and elements of Delft porcelain amongst the exterior and interiors of the restaurants.
In case we need to entice you more, check out the gallery below… Celebrating the Dutch heritage, Pancake Day and delicious fillings… Have a great Pancake Day!
